So that you can make the most of your trip to Denver, we've planned a series of events both before and after the conference. There are two trainings comprehensive trainings before the conference, one aimed at 'users and administrators' and the other at 'developers. After the conference we have a 6 day sprint where we work collaboratively to improve CiviCRM. And for those that just want to dip their toes in the water, we have a discovery session the evening before the conference.  See below for more details

Discovery session

April 21st 2-5pm

CiviCon’s free pre-conference Discovery sessions are recommended for end-users and executive staff evaluating CiviCRM. Attendees will better understand how CiviCRM can meet the needs of nonprofits and civic-sector organizations through overview presentations on CiviCRM, use cases and user testimonials, and how to get started.

User and administrator training

April 20th and 21st 9-5.30pm

A comprehensive two-day, practical training course covering the configuration, administration and everyday use of CiviCRM. Joe Murray, co-author of Using CiviCRM, Stuart Gaston, principal of CiviTeacher, and Eliot Mason of Mercury Motos will be leading the course.

Free Software Foundation "Free as in Beer" Gathering

April 23rd 6:30 - 8:00pm

The Free Software Foundation will be hosting a 'members and supporters' get-together at the Urban Road House for pints and appetizers. It is a great opportunity to meet other members and supporters to share ideas and experiences within the free software movement.

Denver Sprint

April 24th to 30th residential

Participating our annual code and documentation sprint is an excellent way to learn more about - and contribute to - CiviCRM.  It's also a great way to meet the CiviCRM community.  Everyone is welcome and coding or documentation skills are not required - we'll improve CiviCRM, advance your skills and knowledge, and get a chance to enjoy the stunning surroundings of Rocky Mountain National Park - all in less than a week.
